Hello, I'm François Gervais. I was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1976. I owned a restaurant in Quebec City for several years. Now, however, I live in Normandy, surrounded by history. In my spare time, I'm an amateur genealogist and cartographer, and I also moderate the r/UsefulCharts group and created the r/MonarchyChartsXL group on Reddit. Since 2020, I have been drawing family trees, mainly covering the Early, High and Late Middle Ages, the Renaissance and up to modern times. In 2023, I started adapting them for publication on Wikipedia. Please note that I do not sell charts. All my charts are available for free download in a variety of formats.

LibreOffice Draw can be used to create complicated figures using shape tools, straight and curved tools, polygon tools, among other features. I use this program to design all my charts.
